What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of my information?
The Website takes every precaution to protect our users information. When users submit sensitive information via the Website, their information is protected both online and off-line.

We use a third party provider, Protx, as our payment service provider. They are a fully approved as a Level 1 compliant provider under the Payment Card Industry Security Standard (PCI DSS)- which is the highest level of compliance you can get.

The Hospice also does everything in its power to protect user information off-line. All our users information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen savers when they leave their desk. When they return, the must re-enter their password to regain access to user information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Every year, a policy around security is reviewed and our employees are notified and or reminded about the importance we place on privacy and what they can do to ensure our users’ information is protected.
Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment, at Web Fusion, through Pipex- one of the UK’s leading Internet Service Providers.
What about transaction security?
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 per cent secure and we cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
