Sponsor a Hospice Nurse
Hartlepool & District Hospice calls on local people to Sponsor a Nurse
Hartlepool & District Hospice is urging local people and businesses to help support its vital work in the community by sponsoring a nurse at the Hospice.
The Hospice is calling on local people to sponsor an hour or more of a nurses’ time in the care of local people at Hartlepool & District Hospice and in the wider community with the recently launched At Home service (which provides end of life care in the patient’s own home). The Hospice exists largely because of the support of local people – the Sponsor a Nurse appeal is one example of how people can help the Hospice.
Hospice Senior Fundraiser, John Martindale says “just £12.25 will help nurses provide one hour of care at Hartlepool & District Hospice. Our nurses achieve a lot within an hour – helping our patients to live their lives to the full in the time they have left. From symptom relief to supporting families, our nurses provide round the clock care, 7 days a week in the in-patient unit – and a range of services for day care patients, carers and families.
All of our services are provided completely free of charge. Our nurses can only carry on caring because of the kindness and generosity of local people; we ask that our supporters give what they can to support the appeal”
