Radio Hartlepool joins Guild of Patrons
Radio Hartlepool is the newest business to join Hartlepool and District Hospice’s Guild of Patrons funding service developments at the charity.
Jason Anderson, Managing Director of Radio Hartlepool said “We wanted to show our support for the vital care the Hospice offers so we put our money where our mouth is and signed up to join the Guild of Patrons.
“This is a great way for businesses to take part in their own community and we felt it was something we had to do.
“We hope to encourage other companies to get on board as everyone in Hartlepool has been touched by the work of the Hospice whether directly, through family or friends and we want to make sure it’s here for future generations.”
Radio Hartlepool becomes the twenty first business to join the Guild of Patron’s since it was established in 2006.
Tracy Woodall, Chief Executive of Hartlepool and District Hospice said “We are very excited to have Radio Hartlepool on board as a member of our Guild of Patrons.
“They join twenty other committed businesses that are passionate about local hospice care for their own community.
“We look forward to working with the team at Radio Hartlepool and hope that the coverage we receive from the station will increase people’s knowledge of our services and enable them to access our specialist care when they need it most.”
The Guild of Patrons was set up to fund the strategic development of patient care services at the Hospice, including expanding outpatient services, developing the community bereavement service and recruiting more specialist clinical staff to provide these services.
Companies become members by pledging their support of £5000 a year for at least three years.
