The role of Hospices and how they are funded are both important political issues. As a result Hartlepool and District Hospice takes every opportunity to meet with politicians and other key decision makers to influence policy in these areas and make sure the views of our patients, their families, carers, supporters, volunteers and staff are heard.
We believe the people who use and staff our services are the real experts
With your help we can demonstrate how passionate people are about local Hospice care and campaign for better and more equitable Hospice care for all. From time to time we plan to run campaigns that lobby decision makers around issues related to Hospice care and we might call on you to sign petitions online, at our shops or at events.
Make your voice heard
But in the meantime, we always encourage people to contact their MPs about Hospice care. If you want to get in touch with the politicians that represent you or are in charge of Hospices or charities nationally, you can write to them at the addresses below:
Mr Iain Wright MP

John Cummings MP

Angela Smith MP
House of Commons
Remember to keep your letter short and remind them that you are a constituent, if that is the case, and ask for a reply. If you receive a response to your letter, we would love to hear from you.
