24 hour Helpline
At Hartlepool and District Hospice we recognise that living at home with a life limiting illness or caring for someone in this situation can be a very demanding and often frightening time. Our 24 hour helpline is one of the comprehensive range of support services available to people for when these worries and concerns surface.
How our helpline works
Our 24-hour helpline is staffed by nurses and doctors working in our Inpatient Unit. They are experienced in caring for people living with life limiting illnesses. They are ready to offer support and advice at any time of the day or night, regardless of whether the person involved is being cared for by the Hospice or not.
Advice for health professionals
The helpline is also available to health and social care professionals who require assistance in the continued management of an individual with specialist palliative care needs, whether in hospital or the community.
The helpline number is (01429) 855558
