Who we care for
Hartlepool and District Hospice offers specialist palliative care for people living with life limiting illnesses such as cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple sclerosis or end stage heart disease.
We are dedicated to providing the best possible specialist care and support to the communities of Hartlepool and east Durham- bordered by Seaham to the North, Wheatley Hill and Trimdon to the West and Newton Bewley to the South. In exceptional cases, individuals may be accepted from beyond this area to ensure continuity of specialist care.
Hartlepool and District Hospice’s Community Bereavement Service is dedicated to helping people live with loss. Our service is open to any child, young person or adult who are struggling with the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether they were cared for by the Hospice or not.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our care please speak to your health or social care professional.
