Trusts, Foundations & Grants
Every year Trusts and Foundations across the UK fund various hospice projects. These grants have helped to develop the services available to people with terminal illness and needing end of life care.
Sometimes specific people are funded like the Head of Bereavement, Bereavement Counsellor and Physiotherapist. Other times funding is granted towards specific services like Complementary Therapy, Lymphoedema and the Inpatient Unit.
Other Trusts like to fund specific pieces of equipment.
Over the past 2 years a number of trusts funded the purchase of a specially adapted mobility bath for the Inpatient Unit which would have cost us over £10,000! This year we are able to purchase new mobility recliner chairs for the bedrooms in the Inpatient Unit at £600 each.
Over the past year we have been the welcome recipient of over £120,000 towards end of life care services and equipment.
