We are offering a fantastic opportunity for one full-time or two part-time Hospice Doctors to join our Consultant led Specialist Palliative Care service.
Hartlepool & District Hospice has 10 inpatient beds and offers inpatient care, respite care, day hospice services and a community domiciliary service to patients in Hartlepool and East Durham.
Our team benefits from Consultant supervision, Speciality Trainees, Junior Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and a wider Multi-Disciplinary Team including Consultant Psychological Services and an in-house Mobility Specialist.
We have close links to the hospital and community specialist palliative care teams. We have plans to increase the respite and continuing healthcare beds over the next 12 months and develop our facilities due to a successful Department of Health grant.
Experience in palliative care is desirable with suitable postgraduate experience. Education and clinical audit/research is actively encouraged and supported. Non residential on call will be required.
